Welcome to Explore Your Fitness!
My goal with this site and podcast is to help you achieve your fitness goals. I’ll be promoting top of the line products and online courses. And with this podcast, I’ll be bringing you closer to the people behind it all.
Today’s episode is part of a series of reviews for the online course Mindset for Success.
I’m talking with the creator of Mindset for Success, Susanne Menge, and we’re covering week four which is Spiritual Alignment.
Now, that can mean different things to different people. For me, it’s about appreciating what I have in my life, the beauty, the opportunity, the people, all of it.
I’ve noticed over the years that I’m successful more often when I’m in a good mood. And it’s hard for me to be grateful and fearful or mad at the same time. So focusing on the gifts in my life makes for a much more successful day.
Take a minute and think about what spiritual alignment means to you. Think about times when you’ve been successful in the past. Where were you? Who was helping you? What was going through your head? What was your mindset like?
If you can create that same mindset for the goals you have now, I think you’ll have a much higher chance of achieving those goals.
This week’s messages:
Self care is health care. As you practice putting yourself first each day, each week and each year, you gain strength in your ability to do your whole life and do it with great health, not at the expense of yourself and your well being.
I’ve heard it said many ways: You can’t pour from an empty glass. You can’t help others if you don’t take care of yourself first. You can’t love someone else until you first learn to love yourself.
We’re told over and over again to take care of ourselves, yet the first person we often neglect is ourself.
Get your head right, exercise, eat well, and do the things that you know will make you feel better, act better and live better. If you’re not taking time to do these things for yourself, get out your calendar, set your alarm and make a plan. Do it now. Take action and make yourself the top priority. Because if you don’t, the things you care about the most, the people you love the most in this life will suffer. They won’t get the best you. And they deserve that, don’t they?
What can you do day to day that will help you bring the best you every day? Write down some action steps. Is it a morning journal, meditation, exercise, taking a walk with your sweetheart? Try to remember the last time you had a really good day. What happened? Why was it so good? Or maybe think of a time when you crushed a really big goal. You likely had some awesome days leading up to that, right? What did you do consistently everyday? Build off of your previous success.
I’m repeating myself here, but I want you to get the point. Success leaves clues, and if you use those clues consistently every day, you’ll stay aligned with your goals. When things get hard, and they will, you’ll be able to keep working towards what you want. It’s that determination that will lead to success.
There’s definitely more to be said about each video, email and page from this week, but I can’t give it all away. Listen to the audio above or watch the video below for a little more insight. And naturally, for the best of Mindset for Success, buy the course!
