I first interviewed Scott back on episode 6. Although I don’t consider that my finest performance, Scott showed up to play. I mean the dude’s full of energy, confident, motivated, and you can tell he freaking loves his life. I think that’s why that interview is still one of my top downloaded episodes week after week. Scott’s attitude is contagious.
That’s Scott in the picture, leading a class at Pearl Street Fitness. Oh yeah, and the blonde busting out kettlebell lunges, that’s Scott’s wife, Laura.
Scott and Laura have this motto of “I can. I will” and a mission to build Strong. Confident. People.
These two are, without a doubt, a fitness power couple. Hopefully one of these days I’ll get Laura on the podcast too. (Laura, if you’re reading this, hit me up!)
The big reason I’m excited to bring Scott back to you today is because I think he can help with some of the challenges we face this time of year.
The end of the year is full of some of our favorite things, but it can also be extremely overwhelming. From added stress to added calories, the holiday season can really weigh us down in more ways than one.
And it’s oh so easy to just pull the time card..”I’m too busy.” “I don’t have time.”
Well Scott’s going to share why he thinks your excuses are bs and how he stays in great shape. I mean the guy’s in his 40s with a wife, three kids, two businesses and a jam-packed schedule. He obviously knows what it takes.
I asked Scott what his secret is, but honestly, there is no secret. It comes down to one thing: If it’s important to you, you will make time for it.
It’s what you do consistently, over time, that will make the biggest impact. So, don’t stress over one day, be it Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or some other holiday. Relax and enjoy the time with your friends and family.
